Scholarships
The City of Walnut Creek’s Art+ Rec Department welcomes everyone. We partner with the Community Arts Foundation, the Clay Arts Guild, Diablo Regional Arts Association and other generous donors to offer financial aid for low and moderate income Contra Costa County residents.
What do scholarships cover?
You can apply for a needs-based scholarship for classes, workshops, camps, swim lessons, certification classes, swim passes, or preschool programs offered by Arts + Rec. Applicants may receive funding to participate in one program or class per quarter.
Scholarship awards cover 30% to 75% of the class or program fee, and are dependent upon income or participation in a government safety net program.
