Picnic Rentals
The City of Walnut Creek has many picnic areas and park amenities to choose from! Picnics are permitted in all City of Walnut Creek parks unless otherwise prohibited by signs posted at the site. There are group picnic areas available for reservation at Heather Farm Park and Larkey Park.
All other picnic areas are available on a non-reservation, first-come/first-served basis. View a listing of all City Parks to find out more. There are also picnic areas at our City pools.
Reservable picnic season: January - December. Picnic reservations must be made at least 1 week in advance.
Reservation time: 7am - 9pm
Permits available: Up to 120 days prior to picnic date
Fees: $120 - $425 per day

Heather Farm Park
North San Carlos Drive at Heather Drive, Walnut Creek, CA
Heather Farm Park is the largest Community Park in Walnut Creek, featuring a variety of activities and amenities. The park is home to Clarke Memorial Swim Center, Heather Farm Community Center, Walnut Creek Tennis Center and The Gardens at Heather Farm, and don't miss The Art & Wine Festival or The Walnut Festival each year at Heather Farm!

- The park is open from dawn until dusk.
- Amplified music, speaking, etc. may not be audible more than 50 feet from its source.
- Restrooms are available at Clarke Swim Center and at Ballfield #1.
- Beer and wine are allowed at Heather Farm Park, but no glass is permitted.
- There are drinking fountains throughout the park including in the children's play area.
- Jump houses and inflatables are prohibited in all City of Walnut Creek parks.
- Fishing is allowed ONLY in the cement pond and requires a valid fishing license issued by the California Dept of Fish & Wildlife.
- Access to electricity and water is not available.
- Tennis courts, softball fields and soccer fields require a separate reservation.

Larkey Park
First Ave & Buena Vista Ave, Walnut Creek, CA
Larkey Park is a wonderful neighborhood park with activities and amenities for the whole family. The park is home to Lindsay Wildlife Museum, a seasonal pool at the Larkey Swim Center, and the Walnut Creek Model Railroad Society.
