Field Conditions

To check the status of field availability, call the Field and Dog Park Hotline at (925) 256-3574.

If the AQI level is at or above 150 at the cancellation deadline, the City will close play fields and sand volleyball courts. When the AQI level is below 150 the fields will remain open. For AQI information we monitor Air Now and Purple Air.

Updates on closures and reopening after closures take place twice a day: 

• At 8:00am, the call will be made to cancel programming between 9:00am – 4:00pm
• At 2:00pm, the call will be made to cancel programming between 4:00pm – 10:30pm

Cancellation notices will only be distributed via email to those with confirmed reservations. If this webpage or the phone line has not been updated on the day in question, then the fields are open.
