Theater Thursday: Crimes of the Heart - June 6 1:30 pm

The Vagabond Players present Crimes of the Heart, by American playwright Beth Henley, won the 1981 Pulitzer Price for Drama, was nominated for the Tony Awards for Best Play, and was later released as a book.

The tragicomedy tells the story of the three Magrath sisters, Meg, Babe, and Lenny, who reunite at Old Granddaddy's home in Hazelhurst, Mississippi, after Babe shoots her abusive husband. Each has endured her share of hardship and is forced to face the consequences of their "crimes of the heart".

Tickets on sale at the front desk at Civic Park Community Center starting March 25. $7 for the show and a wine and cheese reception afterwards. After May 31st, price is $10.
