Communications and information sharing across the greater San Francisco Bay area will be a critical factor in effectively responding to a natural disaster. Light Up the Bay is a multi-county functional emergency communications exercise designed to practice emergency communications within Bay Area neighborhoods, cities, and counties. This event will support planning, sharing best practices, and testing of broad-area emergency communications-based response capabilities.

Critically, this event will improve CERT member training and expand disaster preparedness awareness throughout the Bay Area. Neighborhood groups of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. Communications support and guidance will be provided by the organizers.
