Bird, Nest, Nature: A 4 part Art Series

Join us for a special series that combines a virtual tour of the Bedford Gallery, guided watercolor/gouache painting workshop, and a bird walk!
- 9/17 at 10:00am: Join trained docents on a virtual tour of Bedford Gallery’s Bird, Nest, Nature exhibition! Explore the artists and artworks while learning about the wide range of media and diverse representations of birds in this nature-based show. Stay tuned after the tour for a live Q+A with gallery staff
- 9/22 and 9/24 from 10am-12pm: You will create a Birds Nests and Habitats Watercolor/Gouache painting with artist, Elizabeth Selna, via Zoom. Explore basic composition working from photographs and online resources. Practice watercolor painting using a basic palette and watercolor techniques. One-on-one guidance and support will be available from the instructor as needed during studio time.
- 9/29 from 10-11am: In-Person guided easy walking tour of Boundary Oak Golf Course (social distance practiced) focused on golf course history and bird watching. Boundary Oak is an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, home of Barn Owl Boxes, Bee Blocks and is a Raptor Rescue Site and home to many varieties of wildlife. Walk is optional.
$95 per person
Workshop Fee Includes: materials list & bottle of wine that will be delivered to your home prior to the start of your class. Walnut Creek residents only, ages 21+.
