Back from their winter Hard Day’s Help! Run of shows, The Beatles Guitar Project heads out once again, to present The Beatles Abbey Road album in its entirety. Featuring Sacramento musicians teamed up to support this benefit concert for Sacramento Preparatory Music Academy (501c3). This show will directly support 100% scholarship education classes.
Get Back Abbey Road will feature “The Rooftop Set” & many songs from the Let It Be album, as well as some John Lennon singles during the first set of the night. The second set of the show will feature the entire Abbey Road album, in album order. All songs are sung, & feature lead vocalist musicians as well as backing vocalists, & are presented as they are sung on The Beatles recordings.
The Beatles Guitar Project is Northern California’s Only touring Beatles Rock Orchestra, featuring a professional string section, brass & woodwinds; as well as vocalists, backing vocalists and guest vocalists who will join the tour for the Sacramento Show: Featuring Christopher Gabriel Nelson (Cake), Benjamin J McClara (Director) & Anthony Tavianini (Master Singers). All of which is meant to benefit music education right here in the heart of Sacramento, and in the towns it tours in as well. Students of The Beatles Guitar Project will be featured throughout the night, & play with the Rock Orchestra. These programs are a tremendous opportunity for these students, and have proven to be throughout the last 8 years of performances and Northern California tours.
This Show will also benefit College Park High School in Pleasant Hill CA. Discount Tickets will be provided for purchase to the students and staff, & a portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Music Program. Our concertmaster, Laura Jeannin teaches classical violin music at this High School, and we are proud to support her music education efforts.
