In a special collaboration, Bedford Gallery and Center for Community Arts will host acclaimed California Clay artist Nancy Selvin at Walnut Creek’s Civic Center Clay Studio on Saturday, January 20 for a dynamic demo workshop! Selvin will demonstrate how to handbuild teabowls and add text to the surface using a variety of methods. She will also present the lecture Nancy Selvin, Time Tells: A Personal History in which she will dive deep into her expansive career as a ceramic artist. Selvin is a senior adjunct professor in the Ceramics Program at California College of the Arts and maintains a studio practice in West Berkeley. There will be a mid-workshop break with light refreshments provided by CAG and Bedford Gallery.
Tickets are $98 for general admission and $74 for BG Donors, BG Volunteers, and Clay Arts Guild Members.
