Open Air Frame Design (1200 x 600 px) (1)

BG Open Air presents Family Make & Meander at Old Borges Ranch on Saturday, May 18!

Location: Old Borges Ranch, 1035 Castle Rock Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94598

Get outside and join a Walnut Creek Open Space Ranger on a nature hike through the City’s cherished Open Space from 10:30 am – 12 pm. Learn about our local flora and fauna and top the adventure off with a plein air painting project! Art supplies provided and all ages welcome.

About the Nature Hike:
A gorgeous stroll through the hillsides surrounding Old Borges Ranch, the walk is a 1.5-mile loop on an unpaved trail with rolling elevations. The trail is considered appropriate for all ages and both amateur and experienced hikers, but it is unsuitable for those in wheelchairs or using walkers.

About the Art Project:
At the conclusion of our guided walk, we will return to the starting point for an outdoor painting activity. Whether you’re an experienced artist, or a toddler having never picked up a brush, participants will be provided with all necessary materials to engage their inner artist—be inspired by the gorgeous surroundings as you create your own original works.

Space is limited; advance tickets are required. Participants ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Caregivers can use their discretion on whether they want to use a carrier for younger children.

About BG Open Air: This new series of programs from Bedford Gallery engages the community outside gallery walls! Be on the lookout for more BG Open Air events to come throughout the year.
