Getting to show off our collective Pride throughout Walnut Creek at six different events celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and allies was so wonderful. Yoga in the Park

Presented by Arts + Rec and Raga Yoga

Pride Yoga in the Park Header

Kick off Pride month with a vibrant, 90-minute Pride Yoga event in partnership with Raga Yoga, a community-based studio dedicated to holistic well-being. Led by Hatha Yoga instructor Wes Linch, this session all-level Vinyasa promises to be both invigorating and enlightening, leading you on a path to inner-Pride. Suitable for everyone from novices to advanced practitioners, come be a part of this wonderful opportunity to unite, breathe, and move together in Prideful celebration and support!

About the instructor: 

Wes Linch is an experienced Hatha Yoga instructor with over 15 years of practice and extensive training in various lineages of yoga practice, Wes brings a unique approach to yoga, focusing on the synergy between breath, alignment, and awareness. Drawing from traditional yogic teachings while infusing modern elements, his classes are dynamic, challenging, and infused with humor and heart.

Pridepower by KidPower is a course made by and for people who face greater risks of discrimination because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. It is also by and for people who support our community.

Since 1995, we have been offering support & social opportunities to the LGBTQIA+ community & its allies, for all ages, including robust offerings for youth and seniors.

Lavender Seniors

Helping LGBTQ+ older adults age with health, happiness, and pride. Lavender Seniors' programs foster a sense of belonging for all LGBTQ+ older adults particularly those who are isolated, vulnerable, disabled, and at risk. They also participate in local, statewide, and national advocacy efforts for the betterment of the LGBTQ+ and mainstream older adult community.
