Cut Paste Create: The Art of Collage highlights the method and art form in which paper and other media are arranged and affixed to a surface.

BG Donors get a special preview from 11 pm - 12 pm for the opening of Cut Paste Create: The Art of Collage on Saturday, July 6! Be among the first to experience a fascinating visual interplay of textures, colors, and forms that explore the juxtaposition of seemingly disparate elements.

Derived from the French verb coller, meaning to glue or stick, collage is both a method and an art form where paper and other media are arranged and affixed to a surface. While its origins trace back to 200 BC with the invention of paper in China, collage as an artistic technique flourished in the early 20th century. This exhibition celebrates the evolution of collage into a versatile and powerful medium, showcasing a fascinating blend of 2-D and 3-D materials.

Free for Bedford Gallery Donors. Bring your ID for entry.
