Walnut Creek Senior Travel
Our Senior Travel program has exciting opportunities for adults ages 50 and better. We’ve designed this program to meet a variety of interests and comfort levels. Take a day trip that explores a Bay Area city, like San Francisco or Santa Cruz. Pack your bags and visit a charming U.S. city on our domestic extended trips. Or take a longer vacation to international locales. Enjoy new experiences and meet new people from your community and around the world.
We will update you about new day trips and extended travel when you sign up for our mailing list.
Travel Club Membership
Pay $15 for a Travel Club membership and receive discounts on day trips. Keep in mind: The Travel Club membership is different from the Walnut Creek Senior Club membership. You must pay for a Travel Club membership to get discounted pricing on day trips.
Day Trips and Extended Travel
We have day trips and extended travel scheduled throughout the year. Create an account and browse the 50+ section to register. You can also register for day trips by phone. Call (925) 295-1490 Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm.
Walking Levels
Each trip includes walking level information. This helps you determine the best trip for your interests. We rate trips on a scale from Level 1 to Level 5. Learn more about each walking level.
Cost
All day trip and extended travel costs include round-trip transportation and gratuity. The Travel Club membership offers discounted member pricing for all local day trips.
Cancellation Policy
We have a strict no refund policy. If you want to cancel and you have another person who can take your place, contact our office at (925) 295-1490. You can also email artsrec@walnutcreek.org. Once the substituted guest registers for the trip, we will withdraw the original patron and process a full refund. We process refunds within three weeks.

Hop aboard the Holiday Wine Trolley as we take a joyful tour through historic Downtown Napa and its Victorian neighborhoods! The vintage Cable Car takes visitors and locals on a fun ride filled with classic carols and lots of holiday spirit. The trolley departs from the popular Oxbow Public Market, a fun place to grab dinner, do some holiday shopping and eat on a river front patio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the spectacular lights along the way! You will have approximately 2 1/2 hours to shop and dine prior to boarding the trolley.
The holiday lights tour, including candy canes and holiday music that you can sing along with, departs at 6:30 p.m. and tours the historic downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods. Cost includes smaller motor coach transportation (with no restroom on board), time at Oxbow Market to shop and dine, and trolley tour, including all gratuities. Level 2 walking trip. Walking required through market for shops and restaurants.
Must be able to board trolley car with stairs (walkers ok to bring on board). DINNER ON OWN with many options to choose from. Departure is from Heather Farm Lot 1. Meet @ 2pm, leave at 2:30pm, return by 10pm
