Philip Lee has always been fascinated by the world around him. His photographs reflect the stories of the people and places that he has the good fortune to meet or visit. Whether his subjects are people, objects, architecture or landscapes, he likes to search for and show the inner essence and attitudes of these subjects whose stories have so captured his imagination. On his trip to Cuba in 2016 he found a population of warm, open and friendly people, who struggle daily to make do with limited resources. In this presentation on his recent return to Cuba he will discuss before and after the lifting of the Trade Embargo, and before and after the death of Fidel.
